Giving Back

Posted on Updated on

It’s that time of year again – yep…it’s Christmas time. The season for giving and sharing. Last year Passaggio Wines gave 10% of their December sales to their local shelter G.R.I.P.

G.R.I.P.’s focus is on three core initiatives: providing food, shelter and supportive services to help homeless individuals and families make the transition to self-sufficiency. The mission of the Greater Richmond Interfaith Program (GRIP) is to transform the lives of homeless, hungry, and disenfranchised people.

This year Passaggio Wines will be giving to G.R.I.P. again but also sharing the cost of the wines you purchase.

Passaggio Wines will give free shipping (ground only) on a purchase of two bottles or more for the Christmas Holiday (from Dec 3rd – Dec 31st). Just type the word sharing in the coupon code section on the Passaggio Wines Website. 10% of the purchase will go to G.R.I.P. – help me in sharing with them during this season of giving.

Thanks for sharing

Get Your Wallet Ready

Christmas tree, check. Ornaments, check. Decorations, check. Grocery list, check. Christmas Presents…uh oh! I’ve got some shopping to do and I better hurry before it’s too late or I will be scrambling to find that perfect gift. Maybe some wine would be a nice gift for the holidays…oh yeah, that’s been done before. 🙂

I guess Cyber Monday “surfing the web” (as they call it) for this holiday season has already begun and I didn’t get in on the act just yet. I like supporting the little guy. You know, the merchant or small company sharing their passions and giving you wonderful products all year round. Some of these “little guys” have websites you can purchase from. Passaggio Wines has been working on getting their new website up for the holiday season. This has been most challenging, but it’s about ready to launch.

I hope you will be encouraged this season to give a little of yourself (actually your money) to to those less fortunate this season. Don’t forget the “bell ringers with the red buckets” or any of your local charities. Stay tuned for the launching of Passaggio’s Holiday Special…get your hearts and wallets ready…

Ah what the heck…let’s go ahead and get started…check out http://www.passaggiowines.com

The Gift of Giving

Posted on

“Tis the season” as they say, for giving. This should be the spirit all year round. As we approach this new season with joy and excitement we cannot forget those who are less fortunate than we are. The past couple of years have been very difficult for many families and now, due to the present economic conditions, some of those families are either jobless or homeless.

All you have to do is just look around. That jobless or homeless person you see all too often could be someone you know. A neighbor, a friend, or even a family member. What can we do? When we give of ourselves, that’s when the real giving begins. When we do without so that others can have, that’s when the real giving begins.

Let us practice our giving this season…let us dig deep into our busy lives and find a way to help someone a little less fortunate. I am sure there are many organizations in your neighborhood that you can give some time, talent or treasure to. I know we can do it. We can find a way to help one family that is struggling this season. That’s what it is all about…a season of giving.

Let us all give back a little of what we have been blessed with…

Cheers,

Passaggio Wines
