Easter Dinner

Posted on

Easter Sunday is approaching…what will be on your table for dinner? There are countless Easter recipes out there and then there is your family traditional dinners that some of you will be making. Some will have ham, some will have fish, and some will have lamb. My grandmother always made a ham with brown sugar and pineapple glaze. We always had green beans, mashed potatoes, and a green salad. Boy, I miss those days…

This year I am thinking of a honey glazed ham…and the 08 Passaggio Unoaked Chardonnay. Sounds like a good match to me. The Passaggio Unoaked Chard as aromas of tropical fruit, grapefruit, green apple, pear, and a hint of a floral note with some minerality. A full-bodied mouthfeel with lively and bright acidity, flavors of citrus, green apple, grapefruit, pear, mango and lemon zest with a hint of honeysuckle. So, if you are looking for a wine pairing to go with your honey glazed ham this year for Easter I hope you try the Passaggio Unoaked Chardonnay.

Sitting around the table, enjoying good conversation, good food, and good wine with friends and family is what it is all about. This year enjoy the company of friends and family around your table and remember the season of Easter.

As always I will keep some of my Easter traditions…and oh, don’t forget the Easter Egg hunt after dinner… 🙂

Here’s a toast to you and your family and friends – Cheers
