12 Days Before Christmas – Day 2

It is December 23, 2009 and tomorrow is Christmas Eve. This is such an exciting time of the year…especially for the little ones. The excitement in my brother’s house is overwhelming…(he has four kids – ages 5,10,11,13) 🙂

Easy recipes are a must around here. This is one of my favorites…

Ingredients needed:

1lb Asparagus
3 cloves garlic – minced
olive oil
bacon
Large Ziploc Bag
your favorite seasoning for vegetables

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees

Cut the tips off the asaparagus – place in ziploc bag
Cook the garlic in your olive oil (until tender) set aside til just warm.
Pour your garlic/olive oil mixture over your aparagus in the ziplock bag and toss – sprinkle with any seasoning that you like (I like just sea salt and cracked pepper)

Spray your cookie sheet with olive oil spray – Take each piece of asparagus and wrap with a slice of (uncooked) bacon placing each one on cookie sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 10-15 minutes or until bacon is done.

Serve warm
