12 Days Before Christmas – Day 6

It is December 19, 2009 and only 6 days before Christmas. My plans to fly to the East Coast are getting a little sketchy as I write this blog. They have experienced about 10 inches of snow and are expecting more today…wow, talk about a white Christmas…be careful what you wish for… 🙂

This recipe is as simple as they come and a great party hit…here we go…

Ingredients needed:

1 medium size cantelope
8 slices of proscuitto

Cut your proscuitto into thin strips. Cut your cantelope either into cubes or wedges (some prefer wedges – I like the bite size cubes)
Wrap the strips of proscuitto around your cantelope and secure it with a toothpick. These are great served chilled.

Serve with your favorite white wine (a good choice – Passaggio Unoaked Chard)
