“Tis the season” as they say, for giving. This should be the spirit all year round. As we approach this new season with joy and excitement we cannot forget those who are less fortunate than we are. The past couple of years have been very difficult for many families and now, due to the present economic conditions, some of those families are either jobless or homeless.
All you have to do is just look around. That jobless or homeless person you see all too often could be someone you know. A neighbor, a friend, or even a family member. What can we do? When we give of ourselves, that’s when the real giving begins. When we do without so that others can have, that’s when the real giving begins.
Let us practice our giving this season…let us dig deep into our busy lives and find a way to help someone a little less fortunate. I am sure there are many organizations in your neighborhood that you can give some time, talent or treasure to. I know we can do it. We can find a way to help one family that is struggling this season. That’s what it is all about…a season of giving.
Let us all give back a little of what we have been blessed with…
